Experiences with M&A Projects in China

  • Branch specific differences: Automotive and investment industries are suitable, because of transparent sales and customer structures and „low cost“ location.
  • Target Screening: No guarantee for success, but more efficiency and objectivity within the filter process and possibly early decision for other options such as WFOE or outsourcing etc.
  • Due-Diligence: „Pre-Due Diligence“ is an efficient and cost optimized tool for the checking of 2-3 possible candidates concerning strategic fit (strategic, finance and organizational situation etc.) – i.e. two days training of the targets (quality)
  • Evaluation: Data basis of screening process; State Owned Asset Admin. Bureau;
  • Negotiation: Time factor, cultural aspects, negotiation style, positions, target screening, due diligence - Everything is possible, but nothing is easy!
